Well kind of. Apparently, the certificate he received for his acheivements came from a company called "Jinisi," which is actually Shanghai Great World (上海大世界基尼斯 Shanghai Da Shijie Jinisi). The organization, which calls itself the "China Record Headquarters," is run by Shanghai Media Group (the people responsible for all those taxi, bus and subway ads).
Guinness World Records said in a statement it had had no contact with Adili Wuxor and had never given him any kind of certificate. BUT "we are available to him if he wishes to apply for an official Guinness World Record," it said.
Hopefully, the recordings of him doing his stunt are enough to apply and get a listing in the real Guiness World Records. It'd be a shame if he had to spend another 60 day holed up on top of the Bird's Nest Stadium. Especially with weather in Beijing reaching 40C.
